Vacation...

I realize how blessed I am to be able to take a vacation.  I know that there are many people who don't have the opportunity to do such and I am indeed very grateful for the ability to come back to Rhode Island and visit with my mom and family.  It's good to get away. Besides spending quality time with family, it's good to see the change in the leaves this autumn, and to visit places that have given me spiritual graces along my journey.  Places like http://abbey.msmabbey.org/ where I go for ev...

Congratulations Ed Drexler - Ministry of Lector

In liturgical celebrations each one, minister or layperson, who has an office to perform, should do all of, but only, those parts which pertain to that office by the nature of the rite and the principles of liturgy.

Servers, readers, commentators, and members of the choir also exercise a genuine liturgical function. They ought to discharge their office, therefore, with the sincere devotion and decorum demanded by so exalted a ministry and rightly expected of them by God’s people.

Parent/Adult Formation

Good morning to everyone out there in cybersapce.  Well, another month of Adult formation has come and gone.  I'm impressed at the number of parishioners from both Holy Family and St. Paul that are taking advantage of this program. We never quit learning about our faith - it's alive and moving and we need to do our best to try and understand the fullness of it as best we can - of course we can never absorb it all, but it can sure be fun and challenging when we study and learn together.  Thank...
